New Cathedral Gardens finished

The first phase of improvements to Chapel Street's public spaces has been officially unveiled with an afternoon tea party for the community held in the new grounds of Salford Cathedral.

University of Salford unveils MediaCity:UK plans, with 39 courses on offer

Today sees the release of The University of Salford’s list of undergraduate and postgraduate courses for its new MediaCity:UK site, where it expects to teach more than 1,500 students.

At the core of the offer sit technology and media-based courses, with journalism, animation and TV documentary making studies sitting alongside qualifications such as BSc Digital Broadcast Technology and the MSc Audio Production.

Peel secures new tenant at Media City UK

Satellite Information Services has announced plans to relocate its production and engineering facilities in London to Media City UK at Salford Quays.

£8m black hole for city regen firms

The regeneration companies responsible for large redevelopment schemes in Manchester and Salford are set to lose almost £20m through the collapse of the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA).

Lowry Outlet Mall fills the gap

International clothing and apparel retailer GAP Outlet has announced it will be opening at the Lowry Outlet Mall, Salford Quays in September this year.
