The University of Salford has launched the Salford Innovation and Creation Hub, described as a pop-up gallery and innovation space.
The Hub's launch took place on March 23rd in old retail space in Salford, left empty as a result of the economic downturn. Satellite events are planned for Eccles and Salford Quays.
Aiming to support Salford's regeneration, the Hub will also boost the links between the university, its local community and the city's creative industries. The university's partners in Hub are Soup Collective, Let's Go Global, BBC 21CC, Central Salford Urban Regeneration Company and Salford Council Arts Development Service. The Hub is supported by Bruntwood and the Arts Council England.
