Published: 2009-12-23 09:07:12

A 36ft totem pole was commissioned by the head of the Manchester Liners office on Salford Quays in 1961 to represent the trading links between Salford and Canada. (Sourced from Salford Online.)

Leading members of the Salford Community on the totem pole, including John Wilkinson and the artist Harold Riley have been interviewed, along with getting the memories and opinions of Salford Councillors and a series of local residents.
