Gleeds ‘Question time’ event shows big support for BBC Manchester Move

The controversial move by the BBC to Manchester’s new MediaCityUK development in Salford Quays attracted widespread support at a keynote breakfast event this week. (Sourced from here.)
Olympian Sir Steve Redgrave, an ambassador for Gleeds, who sponsored the event, joined Bryan Gray, chairman of Peel Media and developers of the scheme, on a special localised version of the popular Question time panel to discuss the purpose built MediaCityUK complex.
Other contributors on the panel included, Barbara Slater, Director of BBC Sport, Barbara Spicer, Chief Executive of Salford City Council, Felicity Goodey, Chairman of Central Salford Urban Regeneration Company and John Holland, Director of MediaCityUK for the University of Salford.
An invited audience of developers, journalists, planners, local authority and residents debated the move to Salford Quays by the BBC which will see all Sports, Children’s, Five live and Interactive services relocated to the new development.
